Terms of Service
Effective date: October 16, 2026
ZEAL Students is a live online homeschool enrichment program operated by DNL Coaching and Creative, LLC. These Terms explain how the program works and what families agree to when they enroll.
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the ZEAL Students website, program, and related services. ZEAL Students ("ZEAL," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by DNL Coaching and Creative, LLC.
Website visitors, including parents and guardians who submit a guide request, contact form, or enrollment inquiry, are subject to these Terms as they apply to use of the website and to our Privacy Policy. Submitting an enrollment inquiry does not constitute acceptance of the paid enrollment agreement. The full tuition and participation agreement will be presented for acceptance by the parent or guardian (or by an adult participant, as described in Section 2) when enrollment is actually confirmed.
2. Who These Terms Are For
The ZEAL website, email list, and enrollment forms are intended for parents and legal guardians. Students should not submit forms or subscribe to emails themselves.
ZEAL is designed for students ages 13–18. Students outside this range may be considered individually based on program fit.
Students under 18 participate only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for reviewing these Terms with their student as appropriate.
Participants ages 18 and older may consent to their own participation. When another adult, such as a parent, is responsible for tuition, that payer must separately accept the payment terms and authorize their own charges.
3. Educational Enrichment Scope
ZEAL is a live online homeschool enrichment program. It provides small-group instruction and coaching in executive function skills, academic accountability, leadership, life skills, and faith-based character development.
ZEAL is not a school, an accredited institution, a full curriculum, tutoring, or therapy. ZEAL does not issue grades, credits, diplomas, or transcripts.
4. Homeschool Curriculum Responsibilities
Parents and guardians remain fully responsible for their student's core education, including curriculum selection, instruction, grading, record-keeping, and compliance with their state's homeschool laws.
Some families choose to document ZEAL participation as an elective on a homeschool transcript. Whether and how to do so is the family's decision, and acceptance of that credit by any school, program, or institution is not guaranteed.
5. Enrollment and Placement
Submitting an enrollment inquiry does not enroll a student, guarantee placement, or authorize any payment. It also does not constitute acceptance of the paid enrollment agreement, which will be presented when enrollment is confirmed. ZEAL may follow up to discuss fit, availability, and next steps.
Enrollment is confirmed only when ZEAL confirms placement in writing and the family completes the enrollment and payment steps provided at that time. Cohort sizes are limited, and ZEAL may decline or defer enrollment based on availability or program fit, consistent with applicable law.
6. Spring 2027 Program Calendar
- First day of the semester: Tuesday, January 12, 2027
- Live sessions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30 to 3:00 PM Eastern
- Optional Focus Lounge: Sundays, 7:00 PM Eastern
- Spring Break (no sessions): March 22 to 28, 2027 (sessions resume Tuesday, March 30)
- Last day of the semester: Thursday, May 27, 2027
ZEAL may occasionally need to reschedule or cancel a session, for example because of illness, an emergency, or a technology outage. When possible, we will notify families in advance by email and offer a make-up session or alternative activity.
7. Tuition and Payment
- January 2027 opening period: $445, covering January 12 to 31, 2027
- Regular monthly tuition: $595 per month, February through May 2027
Tuition is a flat monthly rate. It is not prorated for partial months, holidays, Spring Break, missed sessions, or a student's start or end date within a month.
ZEAL intends to process tuition payments through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Payment collection is not yet active. Payment instructions and authorization will be provided when enrollment is confirmed. ZEAL does not collect or store payment card information through its website forms.
When recurring payments are set up, tuition will be charged monthly until enrollment is cancelled as described in Section 8 or the Spring 2027 season ends on May 27, 2027, whichever comes first.
8. Month-to-Month Enrollment and Cancellation
Enrollment is month-to-month. There is no semester-long contract.
To cancel, a parent or guardian must send a written cancellation request by email to john@carolinaadhdcoaching.com.
- Requests received by the 25th of a month take effect at the end of that month. The student may participate through the end of the month, and no further tuition will be charged.
- Requests received after the 25th take effect at the end of the following month, and tuition for that following month will be charged.
A cancellation is effective when ZEAL receives the written request by the deadline above. It does not depend on ZEAL sending a confirmation email. As a courtesy, ZEAL will acknowledge cancellation requests by email.
Spring 2027 enrollment concludes on Thursday, May 27, 2027. No June tuition payment will be charged, and enrollment does not continue or renew after May.
9. Absences and Refunds
Students are encouraged to attend every session, but we understand that illness, family needs, and other circumstances happen.
- Tuition is not reduced or refunded for missed sessions or absences.
- Missed sessions are not guaranteed a make-up.
- Except as described in Section 15 (when ZEAL ends a student's enrollment) or as required by applicable law, tuition that has been paid is non-refundable.
10. Full Spring Experience: Payment, Cancellation & Refunds
Families may choose to pay for the full Spring 2027 season in a single payment instead of paying monthly. This section applies only to that option; the month-to-month enrollment and cancellation terms in Sections 8 and 9 remain separate and unchanged.
- What it covers. The one-time Full Spring Experience payment of $2,499 covers the full Spring 2027 season, January 12 – May 27, 2027, and replaces monthly tuition. It is not an additional charge.
- Full-season commitment. This option involves a full-season financial commitment in exchange for the discounted price.
- Cancellation before the program begins. If a written cancellation request is received before January 12, 2027, the Full Spring Experience payment will be refunded in full.
- After the program begins. Once the program begins, voluntary withdrawal, absences, travel, or missed sessions generally do not qualify for a refund, except as required by applicable law or as provided in the enrollment agreement.
- No conversion to monthly enrollment. Discontinuing participation does not convert the full-season payment into monthly enrollment or entitle the family to a monthly-rate recalculation.
- If ZEAL cannot provide the program. If ZEAL cancels the program or is unable to provide the purchased program, the situation will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the enrollment agreement.
- No automatic renewal. The Full Spring Experience ends May 27, 2027. There is no automatic June renewal or further charge.
11. Online Meeting Platform and Technology
ZEAL delivers live sessions through a third-party online meeting platform. ZEAL will share the platform, meeting links, and joining instructions with enrolled families.
Families are responsible for providing a suitable device, a reliable internet connection, and a reasonably quiet space for participation. ZEAL is not responsible for missed participation caused by a family's equipment, internet service, or the online meeting platform's availability.
The online meeting platform's processing of meeting and technical information is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy practices.
12. Live Online Sessions and Student Privacy
During sessions, students may interact with ZEAL staff and other participants through audio, video, chat, screen sharing, and collaborative activities.
ZEAL does not record its live program sessions. Students, parents, and other participants are also prohibited from recording, photographing, livestreaming, or redistributing sessions without ZEAL's prior written authorization and any required consent.
We recognize that students have different comfort levels and support needs. Camera use, participation methods, movement breaks, and other reasonable adjustments may be discussed with ZEAL to support meaningful participation while maintaining a safe and productive group environment.
Although sessions are not recorded by ZEAL, live participants may see or hear information shared during the meeting. Families should avoid sharing unnecessary private, medical, or sensitive information in group settings.
ZEAL takes reasonable steps to manage meeting access and protect student privacy. However, we cannot guarantee the actions or devices of every participant in a live online environment.
ZEAL does not publicly use a student's identifiable image, voice, or personal story for promotional purposes without separate appropriate authorization.
13. Communication Between Staff and Students
ZEAL staff do not communicate privately with students outside of program channels. Parents or guardians are copied on direct communication between ZEAL staff and students.
14. Limits of Confidentiality and Student Safety
ZEAL respects the privacy of students and families. However, confidentiality has limits when someone's safety may be at risk.
If a student shares information suggesting that they or someone else may be at risk of harm, including self-harm, suicidal thoughts, abuse, neglect, or a threat to others, ZEAL may:
- Share that information with the student's parent or guardian
- Contact emergency services when someone may be in immediate danger
- Report to appropriate authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect someone's safety
Families agree to provide current emergency contact information at enrollment and to keep it up to date.
ZEAL is not a crisis or emergency service and does not monitor students outside of scheduled sessions. In an emergency, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
15. Student Participation, Community Standards, and Conduct
ZEAL is committed to maintaining a welcoming, respectful, safe, and productive learning environment for students with diverse strengths, learning styles, personalities, and support needs.
We recognize that students with ADHD, autism, executive function challenges, and other learning differences may communicate, move, respond, process information, or participate in ways that differ from traditional classroom expectations.
Students are not expected to sit perfectly still, maintain constant eye contact, participate on camera at all times, or demonstrate identical levels of attention and engagement.
Movement, fidgeting, sensory needs, additional processing time, difficulty with transitions, and occasional redirection are understood as normal aspects of an inclusive learning environment.
At the same time, all participants share responsibility for protecting the learning experience of the group.
Students are expected to:
- Treat others with basic respect and dignity.
- Respect differences in beliefs, learning styles, abilities, backgrounds, and communication.
- Avoid bullying, harassment, threats, intimidation, and deliberately harmful conduct.
- Respect other students' privacy and personal information.
- Follow reasonable facilitator directions intended to support group safety and participation.
- Avoid repeated conduct that substantially prevents other students from participating.
- Use chat, audio, video, and collaborative tools on the online meeting platform appropriately.
Responding to Participation Challenges
ZEAL recognizes that behavior often communicates an unmet need, frustration, overload, or difficulty with self-regulation.
Whenever reasonably appropriate, our first response will be supportive rather than punitive.
Depending on the situation, ZEAL may:
- Offer a reminder, redirection, or opportunity to reset.
- Adjust participation expectations or offer a reasonable alternative way to engage.
- Invite a student to take a brief break.
- Communicate with a parent or guardian to identify helpful strategies.
- Establish a collaborative participation plan.
- Temporarily limit participation in a particular activity when necessary.
We do not treat disability-related differences or ordinary executive function difficulties as misconduct simply because they differ from traditional classroom expectations.
When Participation May Be Suspended or Ended
ZEAL reserves the right to temporarily suspend or discontinue a student's participation when:
- The student poses a credible threat to the safety or well-being of others.
- The student engages in serious harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threatening behavior.
- Conduct substantially and repeatedly disrupts the learning experience of the group despite reasonable efforts to address it.
- Continued participation creates a significant safety concern that cannot reasonably be addressed within ZEAL's online group format.
- A serious incident requires immediate action to protect participants.
Serious safety-related incidents may result in immediate removal from a session or suspension of participation without first completing every intervention step.
For other ongoing concerns, ZEAL will generally seek to communicate with the family and explore reasonable supportive strategies before ending enrollment.
Decisions will be based on the specific circumstances, the safety and participation needs of the group, and applicable law. ZEAL will not exclude a student solely because of a disability or diagnosis.
When ZEAL discontinues enrollment, we will communicate the effective date and review any applicable tuition adjustment or refund in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
The purpose of these standards is not to demand perfect behavior. It is to provide an environment where students can be understood, supported, challenged, and able to learn together.
16. Coaching Is Not Medical or Mental Health Treatment
ZEAL provides educational enrichment and coaching. ZEAL does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical, psychological, counseling, or therapy services, and participation is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional.
Families should continue to consult qualified health care and mental health professionals for diagnosis, treatment, and medication decisions.
17. No Guaranteed Outcomes
Every student is different. ZEAL cannot guarantee particular academic, behavioral, developmental, or personal outcomes, including grades, assignment completion, or acceptance of elective credit.
18. Faith-Based Content
ZEAL is a Christ-centered program. Each session includes a short faith-based reflection, and biblical character development is part of the program. Families enroll understanding that faith is woven into the ZEAL experience.
19. Intellectual Property
ZEAL's curriculum, session materials, frameworks, worksheets, guides, videos, website content, and branding are owned by DNL Coaching and Creative, LLC or used with permission.
Enrolled families may use ZEAL materials for their own student's personal, non-commercial participation. Materials may not be copied, shared, sold, published, or used to create other programs without ZEAL's prior written permission.
Students own the original work they create during ZEAL projects.
20. Assumption of Ordinary Risks and Limitation of Liability
Parents and guardians acknowledge that participation in live online group programming involves ordinary risks associated with technology, internet communications, group interaction, and educational activities.
ZEAL will take reasonable steps to maintain a safe, respectful, and professionally managed learning environment. However, ZEAL cannot guarantee uninterrupted technology, the conduct of every participant, or particular educational or developmental outcomes.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for providing appropriate supervision, technology access, and a suitable participation environment at home.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ZEAL Students and its operating entity, DNL Coaching and Creative, LLC, will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from participation in the program or use of its website and services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing in these Terms removes a student's or family's rights under applicable consumer protection or other mandatory laws.
21. Changes to These Terms
ZEAL may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify enrolled families of material changes by email before they take effect and post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date.
Continued participation after the effective date means the family accepts the updated Terms. Families who do not accept a change may cancel enrollment as described in Section 8.
22. Resolving Concerns and Disputes
If you have a concern or disagreement, please contact us first at john@carolinaadhdcoaching.com. We will work with you in good faith to resolve it informally.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue the matter in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
24. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will stay in full effect.
